Experience

Communication helps drive business strategy. I’ve worked in corporate communications for almost 20 years. During my time as a senior marketing and communications executive with major financial firms I learned how critical it is for marketing, communications, and branding to be tied to business strategy—not just supporting it but helping to set the agenda. Working side by side with functions across the company: sales, technology, legal, human resources, finance, so your message is relevant and consistent, no matter who you’re talking to. 

I see the world from these two perspectives and help to bring clarity at the point where they connect.

 
 

Knowledge comes from the inside out. This means getting to know the people doing the work. Hands down the most effective strategies I’ve worked on have come from really digging deep within the company at all levels, and across all disciplines for stories and ideas that add value to conversations with customers and prospects, offer insights to shareholders and regulators, and resonate with employees.

Insight comes from the outside in. Having started my career in an agency setting, in London and New York, I learned how critical it is to tie a company’s story to issues affecting not just your industry, but the broader market and beyond. Companies with great communication make it clear why they are relevant. I would go even further. They are the ones setting the agenda, defining the narrative and leading the conversation.
